Rachel Kenyon
Rachel is DVFriends’ longest-serving employee, with more than 30 years of teaching experience at the school. She earned her B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Political Science and a focus on Slavic Studies from George Washington University, where she also played Division I basketball for four years.
Rachel began her teaching career at George School, working in the dorms and coaching athletics. She later brought her love of teaching and coaching to DVFriends, where she led multiple sports teams before “hanging up her whistle” to focus fully on teaching math. During a brief hiatus from DVFriends, she continued her mathematical studies at Marquette University and returned more than a decade ago to continue inspiring students in the classroom.
Outside of school, Rachel enjoys woodworking and has a lifelong passion for athletics—having played club rugby for many years and even joining the U.S. team pool during that time.
