Katya Hottenstein
Katya has been teaching Spanish at DVFriends for seven years, and is Chair of the Spanish Department. She is also the US Service Coordinator and an Advisor to 9th+10th graders. She has an undergraduate degree in Hispanic Studies from Hamilton College, a Masters in Education from Pace University, and is certified in Pennsylvania to teach PK-12 Spanish. Katya has taught Spanish for fifteen years to students ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade, in both public and private schools. She enjoys staying active, playing instruments, traveling, cooking, crossword puzzles, oil painting, eating trail mix, and spending time with her menagerie: Tuck, Ralph, Ruthie (perros), Franklin (conejo), Eleanor and Beatrice (patos).
