Melissa Bloch

Melissa joins our Language Arts Department, arriving with extensive experience as an English, Social Studies and Reading teacher in the middle and upper grades, mostly in the City of Philadelphia at public and charter schools. She holds a Pennsylvania Reading Specialist certificate for grades K-12, as well as Pennsylvania teaching certifications in English and social studies for grades 7-12. In addition to her teaching experience, Melissa has administrative experience as a curriculum developer at the Laboratory Charter of Communication and Language in Philadelphia. She holds a BA in English Literature with a minor in Sociology from Florida State University, and a Master's in Education from Cabrini University.
