Description
The Middle School Dean of Students is responsible for issues relating to student life and student well-being in the Middle School, both on a division-wide and individual scale. As the Middle School Dean of Students, you would handle disciplinary matters and carry forward programs related to student conduct. You would also be a vital member of the student support team, working with administration, faculty, students, and parents toward student growth, and you would work toward shaping a positive school climate for all students.

Requirements
-- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
-- Minimum of 3 to 5 years previous teaching experience required; prior administrative experience preferred
-- Strong affinity for students who learn differently and student advocacy
-- High demonstrated emotional intelligence and the ability to be both a leader and collaborator
-- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-- The values of Friends education resonate with you. Previous experience in Friends education is not essential but is also a plus
-- You have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice work
-- Minimum of 3 to 5 years previous teaching experience required; prior administrative experience preferred
